Thank you for visiting MAMAHOUSE BAKESHOP!

We are a family run business, located in Fremont, CA. We strive to use organic and locally sourced ingredients for our handmade pastries and cookies.

I'm sure you are wondering how we got the name "Mamahouse." Well, it all started as a name my daughter called my mother when she was first learning to speak and identify people. We would always tell her when we were about to go to her grandma's house which miraculously led her to call her own grandmother "mamahouse." The name stuck and we use it to honor the woman who taught us all how to bake with love.

WE LOVE WHAT WE DO... and we hope you love it too.

What we Value

Our company values organic ingredients. Most of the ingredients in our bakery items are organic. Any fruits or vegetables used in our baked goods are always organic.

Our company values using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. We change our menu to reflect the produce of the season. We believe food is better for us when it is eaten in the season that it grows. Here is a list of some of our local vendors: Chetwyn Farm in Hayward, Ledesma Family Farm in Gustine, Hollister, and Watsonville, CA, Twin Girls Farm in Dinuba, CA. Guistos Specialty Foods in South San Francisco, CA.

Our company values quality. We have been influenced by the incredible buttery goodness of French pastry and you can see that influence in several of the items on our menu. We’re a company that bakes fresh wholesome, delicious pastries with quality ingredients, not mass produced, but made by hand.

Our company values people. This is one of the reasons we have begun selling our pastries at our local farmer’s market, as we really enjoy direct interaction with our customers. We also have a deep personal connection with a small bakery business in Uganda called Sweet Aromas. They are a non-profit small business (a registered NGO in Uganda) that supports six employees, as well as other works in the villages and the Fort Portal area. They exist to teach Ugandans to run a small business, including training in baking, customer service, hygienic processes, keeping financial books, etc. Our company donates a portion of our sales each week to support them.
